Emily Woudenberg founded Strike Design Studio in 2016, offering frank consultancy and striking solutions for print and screens. With over a decade of experience, they have worked with notable brands and have exhibited their work across the world.
Emily earned a Bachelor of Design with Honours from York University and Sheridan College, and they have over a decade of experience in designing and developing websites. They have worked with brands such as Wetransfer, Autodesk, Tokyo Smoke, Roots, and Joe Fresh. Their work has been exhibited at various locations, including Temple Contemporary, Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts, East Side Projects, The Bentway, the Museum of Contemporary Art (Toronto), Printed Matter's Art Book Fair, and Art Metropole. Emily has also been featured on typewolf.com and the Advertising Design Council of Canada.
Emily's expertise is in researching, planning, and executing design work that leverages data analytics, search engine optimization, and user experience. Emily's technical expertise in web design and development has been invaluable, particularly as they navigate the industry's rapid growth and evolution. Emily's understanding of alternative modes of publishing online has been essential in empowering content producers and publishers to de-platform and to own their websites and protect their content. Currently, Emily is in the process of writing and designing an independently published book called The Website Owner’s Manual, which aims to provide practical guidance to independently publishing online.
